One Piece’s Gorosei: A Formidable Combat Force and the Connection to Saturn’s Special Power

The release of spoilers for the upcoming chapter 1122 of One Piece has been highly anticipated by fans, who were anxious for any information. Luckily, these spoilers began to be released earlier in the week. However, one detail from these spoilers that has captured the attention of most fans is the apparent defeat suffered by the Gorose in the issue’s events.

According to the spoilers, a blast of Joy Boy’s Conqueror’s Haki, stored within Emeth, sends all the Gorosei members back to Mariejois except for Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, who remains on Egghead. It is revealed that Saint Marcus Mars has been at Mariejois for some time, leading to speculation that Luffy’s recent attack on Mars may have played a role.

Similarly, the apparent ease with which the Gorosei were forced to retreat and ultimately defeated at Egghead has led some to question their perceived power. However, there may be an explanation that would satisfy those fans who were disappointed in their strength, revolving around a potential hidden ability of Saturn.

The Power of the Gorosei in One Piece

Overall, it is possible that Saint Jaygarcia Saturn possesses a special and undisclosed power that One Piece has yet to reveal to its fans. This ability can be inferred through the Gorosei’s sudden departure and their subsequent appearance on Egghead Island, hinting at Saint Jaygarcia’s potential to summon them using his own Haki and granting them physical forms without physically transporting them.

The initial evidence is derived from Saturn’s call for the Gorosei, which is depicted at the end of chapter 1109 and the beginning of chapter 1110. Although the opening scenes of the latter issue show an empty Room of Power, where the Gorosei are usually present, a solitary summoning circle remains. It is possible that the remaining four members of the Gorosei have transformed their physical bodies, allowing them to remain anchored in Mariejois while their spirits are summoned by Saturn.

The following significant evidence is also presented in One Piece chapter 1110, where the four members first arrive at Egghead as amorphous black blobs. Gradually, these blobs take on the forms of their Yokai beings, indicating that they are not their true physical forms. This is further reinforced by the fact that they emerge from summoning circles.

The spoilers from Chapter 1122 provide strong evidence that Saturn is the only one who was not sent back to Mariejois by the blast of Joy Boy’s Conqueror’s Haki, which was used by Emeth. Instead, he was transformed back into his human form and remained on Egghead physically, while the rest of the Gorosei were transported back. This suggests that Saturn’s own Haki was sustaining their images, and it is logical that a powerful blast of Conqueror’s Haki would be able to undo these illusions.

It is important to note that Saint Marcus Mars was already in Mariejois when he was attacked by Gear 5 Luffy. This attack may have reversed Mars’ transformation as Luffy’s Gear 5 form was seen emitting Conqueror’s Haki. Although the use of Conqueror’s Haki is not explicitly shown during Luffy’s attack on Mars, their bodies did make direct contact, suggesting that the Haki released by Luffy in his Gear 5 form may have affected Mars.

Despite spoilers suggesting that the other three Gorosei members reverted to their human forms and returned to Mariejois, this does not necessarily imply they were in their physical human forms. This could possibly explain why the Gorosei were not as powerful as expected, as they were merely projections sustained by Saturn’s Haki. Similarly, Saturn would also be limited in his abilities and strength by using his Haki to maintain their illusions.
