One-Punch Man Season 3 Teaser Suggests Highly Demanded Change

Despite receiving increased teasers for One Punch Man Season 3, the reaction from fans is divided. While the first season was widely acclaimed and considered a classic, the second season saw a decline in quality, leaving fans eager for a return to the excellence of the first.

Currently, One Punch Man Season 3 has released a trailer and several character visuals. One of the recent visuals features Genos, Saitama’s cyborg student, standing in front of a blue background in a simple image.

Despite its simplicity, the picture is bringing some relief as fans can finally witness changes in the animation. Specifically for Genos, there is an update in the gradient coloring that was not well-received by the audience.

“One Twitter/X user exclaims, “The terrible metal texture is no more!”while another user, MartinLewi53090, comments, “Genos looks even more badass now!”

The chorus expresses both hope and caution. They have been anticipating the release for several years now, however, the production company remains JC Staff. “It appears promising. Thank goodness the metallic gradient is gone. Hopefully they continue down this path,”a commenter on Reddit remarks.

“According to another Redditor, the design of Season 2 appears to be identical to that of Season 1. Another user notes that the Director of Photography may have been overworked during the production of One Punch Man Season 2, as they were simultaneously working on three projects.”

A comment states that the director of photography for this season has hopefully been replaced, which would mean an end to the awful metallic gradients. However, it should be noted that Yoshio Ōkouchi had the added responsibility of working as DOP for two other shows in 2019, so any shortcomings may not solely be due to incompetence.

Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we find out for sure.
