Oshi no Ko Chapter 151: Kana’s Dream to Become Aqua’s Only Idol

With the publication of Oshi no Ko chapter 151, readers were treated to a date between Kana Arima and Aqua Hoshino. However, instead of a traditional date, the two opted for a game of catch ball while still wearing their school uniforms. This unconventional outing gave them the opportunity to have meaningful conversation and discuss their aspirations.

In the previous chapter, it was shown that Aqua had an internal struggle with Gorou Amamiya. Although Gorou was once determined to seek revenge, he now desired for Aqua to embrace his youth. As the manga progressed, Kana examined her emotions towards Aqua and messaged him to inquire about his schedule for a potential date.

The latest installment of Oshi no Ko, chapter 151, was titled ‘Catch Ball’ and began with an interview featuring Kana Arima, who was preparing to graduate from B-Komachi. Furthermore, her unique and outstanding performance in Masanori Shima’s “Overlooking”film had captured the attention of many.

The scene shifted to Aqua and Kana’s date, where they were both dressed in Youtou High School uniforms. Kana had suggested the idea, wanting to have a traditional uniform date. Though Aqua was taken aback by Kana’s use of the word “date,”he eagerly agreed. Curious, he asked Kana what she had in store for them. She revealed a baseball and gloves, implying that they would have a catch-ball date.

Despite not being fond of the date plan, Aqua Hoshino’s popularity prevented them from being able to play at the park. This caused Kana’s initial plan to fail. However, Kana had anticipated this obstacle and had a backup plan in place. They had arranged for them to play at Youtou High School, which was why Kana had requested that Aqua wear their school uniform.

In contrast to their past behavior, they now did the opposite. Instead of skipping school to play catch, they were now playing catch before school.

As they started playing, Kana inquired about Aqua’s future plans. In reply, Aqua shared his aspiration of applying to medical college in order to become a heart surgeon. Although the manga does not explicitly mention it, it is implied that this was Aqua’s lifelong dream since his past life as Gorou Amamiya. Sadly, he had not yet been able to make this dream a reality.

Kana thought Aqua’s dream was perfect for him and truly wonderful. Becoming a heart surgeon would enable Aqua to be a source of hope for others, which aligned perfectly with his desire to aid those in need. Upon hearing this, Aqua blushed and covered his face.

Right after, Aqua changed the subject and inquired about Kana’s aspirations. Though becoming more well-known would be desirable, she had a particular dream in mind. Her ultimate goal was to be the sole focus of Aqua’s attention, essentially becoming his idol. As Kana was set to retire from B-Komachi with a final concert on Christmas Day, she extended an invitation to Aqua to attend and witness her performance.

Despite her uncertainty about being able to surpass Ruby Hoshino and Mem-Cho, she was determined to give her best effort in order to become the sole idol for Aqua.
