The spoilers for Chapter 158 of the upcoming Oshi no Ko manga have been released. In the previous chapter, Aqua and Ruby enjoyed a relaxing day off together and discussed their respective careers. The chapter begins with Fuyuko Niino attending B-Komachi’s live concert in Miyazaki. Her anger grows as she witnesses Ruby’s impressive performance, as she sees Ruby as a potential idol who could surpass even Ai, her own daughter.

The panel continues to the backstage where Anemone congratulates Mem-Cho on putting on a lively show. Mem-Cho is pleasantly surprised to see Anemone at the concert, while Anemone is equally delighted to run into Mem-Cho in Miyazaki.

Akane and Ruby

The chapter includes a conversation between Akane and Ruby, where Ruby inquires why Akane attended the performance in Miyazaki instead of the scheduled live performance in Tokyo. Akane explains that she was in Miyazaki for work and decided to stop by the performance. She also mentions that she was unable to attend the Tokyo concert due to prior commitments.

Ruby recalls that the Tokyo performance falls on Christmas day. She speculates that Akane may have found a significant other and scheduled activities for the holiday. However, this is merely her conjecture.

Ruby suggests to Akane that they could invite Kana to join them, but Akane declines. She then explains her feelings towards Kana and her perception as an idol. Akane admits that while she enjoys seeing Kana in adorable modeling outfits, she cannot fully accept her as an idol. However, she acknowledges and appreciates how Kana confidently embraces her identity as an idol.

Despite Akane’s sentiments, she still thinks that Kana shines brightly as an idol. However, she believed that using her talents in acting would have allowed her to radiate even more as a star.

However, despite the growing number of fans, Ruby was nowhere to be seen. As an idol, what mattered most was the increase in fan base, and unfortunately, this also meant that there were people who despised Ruby and wished for her downfall.

According to Ruby, an idol’s life is not something that can be sustained indefinitely, despite their diligent efforts. It is accompanied by the unforgiving pressures of time. She likens it to a flower that blossoms temporarily, rather than a gem that sparkles eternally. This is why idols strive to leave a lasting impression on people, ensuring that they will be remembered even after they pass away.

Is Ruby Stabbed?

The panel then depicts a phone conversation between Niino and Kamiki, during which Kamiki proposes confessing their crimes to the police in hopes of receiving forgiveness. However, Niino objects and shifts the blame onto Ai, believing her to be the ultimate idol. Niino asserts that no one, not even her own daughter, should surpass Ai’s greatness.

A panel depicts Crow Girl standing on a shore, deep in thought about humanity and its complex emotions, such as love, and how people are often willing to sacrifice lives for it.

The chapter depicts the final day of B-Komachi’s live tour, which also happened to be Kana’s last day as an idol. However, during the panel, Rubi is shown being stabbed by someone who strongly resembles Fuyuka Niino, just like what had happened to Ai.
