Palworld explosion bug causes irreversible damage

Palworld players are hoping for improvements to base building after encountering a strange bug that causes random explosions.

Palworld’s base building feature plays an integral role in the survival experience, sheltering captured Pals, storing food, and providing a place to rest.

Many players have spent exorbitant amounts of time creating bases that truly optimize their adventures. Meanwhile, others spend their time working on fun and impractical constructions like giant water slides.

Unfortunately, not everyone enjoys the building elements in Palworld, finding the system itself poorly developed. A particularly annoying bug has caused some players to request improvements.

A Palworld user recently shared a gameplay clip that attracted a lot of attention on the game’s subreddit. The video shows the player reaching the top of their fortress-like base, then trying to put up a new triangular wall.

the “base building” aspect of this base building game is perhaps the most frustrating and least fleshed out part of this game byu/Eggs_in_Trying_Times inPalworld

As soon as the player confirms the placement of the stone wall, a random explosion erupts in front and behind them. Several pieces of previously placed furniture were destroyed following the spontaneous eruption.

Understandably, the Redditor used the footage as an example of why base building in Palworld seems to be the “most frustrating and underdeveloped part of this game.”

The original poster isn’t the only one who encountered the weird base building explosion bug in Palworld. A commenter wrote in the thread above, “This randomly happened to me too. I was placing campfires for indirect lighting and one spot refused to stay if I built anything else…”

Another user joined the chorus to say that this exact issue has baffled them on several occasions. “This happens to me all the time,” they wrote.

Someone else added, “This exact thing is happening to 2 of my bases and I can’t build on them anymore without half the base collapsing. It at least broke one of my foundations.”

Several other people reminded players that Palworld is currently in Early Access, saying that – despite the issues – what the developers have accomplished is pretty impressive.

Hopefully the spontaneous combustion bug receives a fix before Palworld’s full release.
