Palworld Players Demand Change to Frustrating Mechanic

Palworld players are tired of having to chase and collect their Pals if they want to assign them to a specific task.

It doesn’t take long for Palworld players to start catching useful Pals and building huge bases. In order to obtain all the materials for these bases, many players choose to automate the process, using the stats of their best Pals to farm and craft items for them.

However, certain traits that Pals possess, such as watering, are necessary for many tasks, and Pals sometimes have their own ideas about what task they want to accomplish.

Pocketpair has developed a mechanism to get around this, which allows you to pick up Pals (and then drop them) at the desired task.

And picking them up seems easy, right?

Palworld fans hate the Pals “pickup” mechanic

A player complained on social media after giving up, having spent an inordinate amount of time chasing his Anubis to pick him up and assign him to a task.

“What a pain you are, you pain in the ass,” they described their Pals when it came time to pursue them.

They weren’t the only player to feel this way, as many others suffered from the same frustrating experience.

“Yes, that’s why we need the ability to assign pals. This ‘chasing them to pick them up’ is nonsense,” one player said.

Players struggled to get close enough to pick up their Pals and found that, once in range, the game didn’t highlight the “pickup”mechanic as an option.

“Even worse is when you try to pick them up, but the game brings up every option except lifting,” one person complained.

So, the Palworld community brainstormed a solution for the problem, like keeping a Pal on your team and simply “throwing the PalBall at work.” Only time will tell if Pocketpair will implement an official change to improve the “pickup” mechanic.
