Palworld players want devs to turn a meme into Pal

Palworld players are asking the developers to add a new Pal based on a classic meme that would fit perfectly into the game.

Since launching in Early Access this month, Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm. It quickly broke records on Steam and attracted millions of players.

We can therefore say that this “Pokémon with guns” appeals to many players, especially those looking for a more adult approach. Indeed, in Palworld, you can kill Pals for materials and capture humans. Additionally, some of Pal’s designs are ambiguous, such as one based on a noose and another known for lusting after humans.

Now, some Palworld players are hoping the developers will go even further with future Pal designs, including one based on a meme.

Palworld players want a Pal Glocktopus

As Reddit user u/love-4-music said in a post on the Palworld subreddit, the developers “have the means”to add a Pal Glocktopus to the game.

Given that Glocktopus is an octopus with weapons in each of his tentacles, he would definitely fit into Palworld.

Some have even compared it to the Pokémon Octillery, an octopus introduced in the Generation 2 games. Its design is based on weapons and references artillery and tanks, in English and Japanese.

Other fans have suggested similar concepts from Pal, some of which are also based on memes. For example, a crab with a knife or a laser shark inspired by Austin Powers, or even a rival sea creature. “Listen to me, he has a rival: krAKan,” said one commentator.

If this Pal becomes reality in Palworld, it would not be the first time Glocktopus has appeared in a game. The independent game Exit the Gungeon features Glocktopus as a final boss, included by fan request.
