A new Hotfix has been deployed for Baldur’s Gate 3, addressing various critical bugs and sales issues

Despite the fact that it hasn’t been in early access for almost a year, Baldur’s Gate 3 still receives patch notes regularly, in order to always improve the game.

So here are all the Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix 23 patch notes, as well as all the major changes you can expect to see in the game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 23 Major Fixes

In addition to general crash and bug fixes, Baldur’s Gate 3 will see key fixes to equipping items and using spells, as well as a bug where selling water did not remove the correct amount of merchant’s gold.

Additionally, another major bug has been removed. Previously, players could generate gold by purchasing multiple items, but only paying for one, by dragging the items into a container.

There have also been changes to NPCs and enemies, with the correction of Nightsong’s condition, as well as Balthazar’s inability to end his turn when he is too far from the Colony ritual point.

Crashes and Blockages

  • Fixed a bug preventing you from progressing in Lae’zel’s recruitment dialogue if you saved in the middle of the dialogue and then loaded that save.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to our particle system.
  • Fixed an issue when launching the Pudding Dish.
  • Fixed a crash during Character Creation.
  • Fixed an issue that could occur when selling a container containing items, buying it back, and then selling it again.
  • Fixed a rare crash related to loading VFX material.
  • Fixed an issue preventing you from equipping items and using spells because an item remained equipped.
  • Optimized auras to reduce memory usage and avoid a crash due to lack of memory.

IU

  • Fixed an issue where selling all goods did not remove the correct amount of gold from the trader’s inventory.
  • Fixed a bug where you could generate gold by purchasing multiple items, but only pay for one if you dragged the items into a container.
  • Fixed a bug allowing you to “purchase” a bunch of items for free by dragging them into a container and using the item separator.
  • Fixed equipped items being blocked by Transfiguration being tradeable, allowing you to get paid even if the items are not transferred to the trader’s inventory.

Script

  • Fixed the batons in Highmoon Towers Prison automatically equipping when you pick them up.
  • Fixed a bug causing Chantenuit to continually gain and lose the Chained Soul condition if she had a condition granting Cripple Immunity.
  • Fixed Balthazar not ending his turn when he is too far from the Colony ritual point to reach it in one turn.
  • Fixed a bug where a civilian would call for help and a group of Flaming Fists would spawn, but instead of moving to the crime scene, they would just stay where they spawned.
