Diablo 4 is preparing to introduce mid-season update 1.3.3. Discover the content of this patch which highlights some of the main features of the game.

Diablo 4 Season 3 kicked off with a series of changes for all classes, including the addition of a brand new companion via story mode.

Although the developers have added some elements via several small patches, a much larger mid-season patch is planned for next week.

As mentioned during the Campfire Chat on February 29, the developers plan to make numerous class changes in the upcoming Diablo 4 update 1.3.3, including the addition of Season of Blood Vampiric Powers.

When will Diablo 4 update 1.3.3 go live?

Diablo 4 update 1.3.3 is scheduled to go live on March 5, 2024, as revealed during Campfire Chat on February 29.

Although the developers haven’t mentioned a specific time for it to go live, you can expect the update to arrive around 7:00 p.m.

Gameplay Update

Vampiric powers

  • Cursed Touch
    • Fluke: You have up to a 20-35% chance of casting a vampire curse on your opponents. Opponents who are victims of the vampire curse are also vulnerable.
    • Souls stored by the Vampiric Curse deal 20-50% more damage.
  • Metamorphosis
    • While dodging, you transform into a swarm of bats and become unstoppable for 2.5 sec. Opponents in your path take physical damage as well as a vampire curse.
    • Dodge cooldown increased by 5-10 sec.
  • Boiling blood
    • When your primary skills overwhelm an opponent, you spawn 3 drops of unstable blood. Pick one up to make it explode and deal physical damage around you.
    • Every 20 seconds, your next skill necessarily overwhelms.
  • Agitation
    • Every 5 basic skills you use, one of your current cooldowns is reduced by 2-4 sec.
  • Immortality
    • The affix restores 0.5-2% of your health when you cast skills. It restores 1% of your life points more if you are below 50% of your life points.
  • Dusk
    • Dealing damage to a target with a basic skill grants you 4% additional attack speed for 10 sec, up to 5 times. Once this threshold is reached, you descend into a vampiric blood rage and gain a 40-80% bonus to basic skill damage and 15% to movement speed for 10 sec.

User interface and user experience

Character Profile Updates

  • Skills equipped by player characters are now displayed on their profile.
  • Equipped emblems are now displayed in the character profile header.
  • The name of the applied ornament and the location where it was obtained are displayed in the tooltips of transmogrified items.
  • In the Edit Profile section, players can select seals from those obtained during the current week to display them on their profile header and on their social card.
  • The current player character’s playing time is displayed at the bottom of the profile.

Divers

  • The crafting cost of Ultra-Unique items has been reduced to 4 Sublimated Sparks (was 5).

Bug fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the Seneschal would benefit twice from skills that had beneficial effects for allied characters (e.g. Battlecry for Barbarian characters and Bloody Howl for Druid characters).
  • Fixed an issue where the character would gain double the bonuses granted by the thief passive skills Accuracy and Weapon Mastery if an attack switched them from a melee weapon to a crossbow.
  • Fixed an issue where some interactable items during quests, such as Lyndon’s stash during the Optional Expenditures quest, would not accept interactions while the player was on a mount.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would not reset if the player died fighting Lilith’s Echo while the camera was zoomed out.
  • Fixed an issue where the Juggernaut Skin would not apply armor while the player was mounted.
  • Fixed an issue where the guaranteed overwhelm granted by the Druid characters’ Empowered Spray skill did not apply immediately once all 12 stacks were acquired.
  • Fixed an issue where Necromancer characters’ Skeleton Reaper corpse chances were based on Luck instead of a set percentage.
  • Fixed an issue where Bone Shards cast by the Fragmented Spirit Aspect were not receiving the vulnerability effect granted by Adept Bone Shard.
  • Fixed an issue where Thorns was not applying Fluke consistently (e.g. Thorns could trigger Abject Decay, but not Carving Flesh).
  • Fixed an issue where the Sect Guide Legendary Paragon node was not correctly granting bonus damage based on the attack speed of bonus minions.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Rotten” aspect would not spawn additional corpses.
  • Fixed an issue where the Frigid Fate and Elemental Summon legendary paragon effects on Wizard characters were not working correctly with the elemental aspect.
  • Fixed an issue where the fiery surge passive skill was granting lower mana regeneration than intended.
  • Fixed an issue where Empowered Caltrap’s bonus damage could be applied more often than intended when stacking multiple uses of Caltrap on the same opponent.
  • Fixed an issue where Reinforced Caltrap would deal less damage to bosses than intended.
  • Fixed an issue with many legendary aspects where the effect of the first equipped aspect would be applied if a duplicate aspect was equipped, instead of the effect of the more powerful equipped aspect.
  • Fixed an issue where Vyr’s Virtuosity effect would remain active if the skill was forgotten while the Lord Mage aspect was equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where a power that granted a stat bonus based on another stat would not readjust after the temporary bonus wore off.

User interface and user experience

  • Fixed an issue where the add contact message could appear when editing the profile.
  • Fixed an issue where the description of Reinforced Caltrap did not include the damage limit.
