Pizza Hut has announced a partnership with beloved anime Cardcaptor Sakura to release a unique pizza that is even more outrageous than expected.
During our childhood in the 90s, we were devoted fans of Cardcaptor Sakura, a beloved anime series adapted from CLAMP’s well-known magical girl franchise.
To honor the show, Pizza Hut is launching a selection of fresh menu items inspired by the series.
According to reports from Taiwan, Pizza Hut announced a collaboration on June 4th, showcasing their signature dish – the “Magical Circle Cheese Pizza.”This unique pizza combines elements of both savory and sweet, and includes pointed star-shaped dough filled with German sausage and white mochi.
The new collab features a crazy new pizza shape
The center of the star contains a mixture of Japanese-style curry and mashed potatoes, while colorful, yellow macaron cookies are scattered around the star.
The menu additionally features a manju, a sweet rice cake adorned with the likeness of “Kero-chan,”a beloved character from the show who resembles a flying bear and frequently joins our protagonist on her various escapades.
Pizza brands have a history of introducing international items that have left customers craving for more. In January, Domino’s announced their plans to create a mouth-watering volcano pizza, loaded with cheese.
While this anime collaboration may only be accessible in Taiwan, Pizza Hut has something exciting in store for customers in the US. The brand’s latest release, the ‘My Hut Box’, allows you to select your preferred items at a discounted price, providing a great opportunity to save on your next takeout order.
Additionally, Domino’s revealed that it would be distributing complimentary pizza throughout the entire summer.
