Despite recent efforts by developers, Arc Raiders players continue to encounter enemies exploiting glitches in the Stella Montis map. This ongoing issue allows some players to remain hidden while attacking from unassailable positions like ceilings and walls.
In the past weeks, Arc Raiders has faced significant challenges, primarily from players utilizing cheats and glitches to gain an unfair advantage. Notably, the ceiling exploit allowed raiders to escape the map boundaries, targeting unsuspecting enemies from above without fear of retaliation.
In response, Embark Studios implemented a patch on January 20, addressing various out-of-bounds issues situated on Stella Montis. The community hoped this would definitively resolve the problem. However, player reports suggest that the exploit has not been fully mitigated.
The Persistence of the Ceiling Exploit
Reports on the official Arc Raiders Discord indicate that a significant number of players are still facing teams hidden within the walls. Comments such as, “You guys supposedly fixed Stella wall glitches, so why am I dying to trash bag players inside the wall glitch?” highlight the frustration in the community.
Player feedback reveals that while some of the accessible glitches have been addressed, a few remain active. One user noted, “They patched some of the easy Stella glitches, but there are like 2 or 3 that are still in the game.” This has led to continued frustration among players who wish for a fair gaming experience.
Interestingly, a new feature appears to have been introduced to mediate the issue. A community member, known as ‘CDNThe3rd’, shared a video clip illustrating an enemy outside the map attempting to shoot at them through the ceiling. While it appeared on the attacker’s screen that damage was being delivered, the player was completely unharmed.
Interesting change to the wall exploit on Stella:You can still clip behind walls, but shots no longer deal real damage. This could be cope but..it looks like a built-in fail-safe while a full fix gets finalized? What ya’ll think? #ArcRaiders @EmbarkStudios [+] pic.twitter.com/7nfmombLuI

This observation has led to speculation that such changes may serve as a temporary fail-safe to minimize the damage inflicted by these glitches until a comprehensive solution is developed. However, Embark Studios has yet to comment on whether they are aware of the persistent issues or if this contingency has been intentionally designed.
On a positive note, Embark Studios has committed to compensating players who lose loot due to cheaters, ensuring that while these glitches may lead to frustrating experiences, players are not left at a financial loss.
