Recently, the Pokemon community was captivated by a painting displayed above. The artwork depicts Magikarp dressed in a crisp uniform and striking a serious pose, resembling an Admiral or General. This masterpiece received high praise from other Pokemon enthusiasts, with one playfully dubbing it, “Napoleon Bonakarp”.
After receiving praise from a Pokemon fan who asked, “How do we get you to be an artist for the TCG? Need a petition or something?” The artist expressed their gratitude and stated that it would be a dream for them. Other fans then encouraged them to participate in the Pokemon TCG illustration contest.
In their initial post, Joccum.art requested that fellow fans share their ideas for enhancing the Magikarp painting and the Lucario image featured on the second slide. Although a few viewers suggested incorporating pin badges onto the jacket or adding more details to the upper portion of the images, the majority deemed them to be flawless.
A viewer expressed their opinion on both paintings, stating, “They are complete. Your artwork is fantastic and I believe it is perfect as it is, particularly the Magikarp which is golden.”
It is always a joy to see how members of the Pokemon community interpret their favorite creatures, as each artist brings their own unique perspective to the table.
As we eagerly await the release of Pokemon Legends Z-A, which will bring back Mega Evolutions and potentially introduce new Pokemon, it will be interesting to observe how artists within the community incorporate fresh aesthetics and subjects into their artwork.
