Upcoming Pokemon GO Catching Wonders Event
Event Date and Time
The Pokemon GO Catching Wonders event will take place from Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00 AM to Sunday, May 19 at 8:00 PM (local time), lasting for a total of 123 hours.
Masterwork Research: Master Ball
The main attraction of this event is the complimentary Masterwork Research that is included. The Masterwork Research will provide rewards such as:
- Stardust,
- XP,
- Berries,
- Encounters with Pokemon,
- and the Master Ball.
Apart from the rewards mentioned earlier, there will also be additional rewards available. However, the highlight of the event is the Master Ball. If you log in to Pokemon GO during the event, you can activate the Masterwork Research. Once activated, it will remain active and there is no need to rush to complete it. This means that the Master Ball will not expire and you can take your time to complete the research.
Event Bonuses
During the Catching Wonders event, the following bonuses will be in effect:
- You will receive 10 times the XP for your initial catch of the day.
- You will receive 10 times the XP for your initial spin at a PokeStop or Gym every day.
- For your initial catch of the day, you will receive 5 times the normal amount of Stardust.
Field Research Tasks and Rewards
During the event, players will be able to obtain themed Field Research tasks by spinning PokeStops. Completing these tasks will grant rewards, which include:
- Stardust,
- XP,
- Poke Balls,
- Great Balls,
- In addition, there are also Ultra Balls available.
The Master Ball will be obtainable for the third time in Pokemon GO. The previous instance was during a challenging Timed Research that spanned the entire season. For those who were unable to finish it, there was the alternative of purchasing a Master Ball Special Research for US$7.99. Completing the Catching Wonders Masterwork Research tasks will likely require more time compared to Special Research such as Glitz and Glam. However, it is still worthwhile to activate the Masterwork Research as it guarantees the eventual acquisition of the Master Ball.
