On May 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM local time, you can access the Special Research story “Glitz and Glam”by logging in to Pokemon GO.
The Special Research story remains valid even after obtaining it, allowing you to complete the tasks at your own pace.
Pokemon GO Special Research Story: Glitz and Glam Rewards
The highlight of the Glitz and Glam Special Research is an encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Diancie. The specific tasks and rewards for this Special Research are currently unknown. However, if it follows the pattern of the exclusive Special Research for GO Fest 2023, players can expect to receive enough Diancie Mega Energy (300 in total) to Mega Evolve it. This, of course, is subject to confirmation.
Please be aware that if you have already accessed the Special Research exclusive to the Pokemon GO Fest 2023 ticket, which includes an encounter with Diancie as a reward, you will not be able to obtain Diancie by completing Glitz and Glam. Instead, you will receive Diancie Candy.

Starting on Wednesday, May 1 at 12:00 AM (midnight) until Friday, May 3 at 11:59 PM local time, players can obtain Diancie-themed Field Research tasks by spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops. If you have to choose, focus on completing as many event-themed Field Research tasks as you can during this period. The Special Research can be completed at your own pace, so prioritize the time-sensitive Field Research tasks first.
