The Community Day for Pokemon GO in May 2024 is scheduled for Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), with certain bonuses remaining in effect until 10:00 PM.
May 2024 Community Day Featured Pokemon
As indicated, the highlighted Pokemon for the May 2024 Community Day in Pokemon GO is Bounsweet. It will have a high encounter rate in the wild and a greater chance of being shiny than normal.

May 2024 Featured Attack
The May 2024 Community Day will showcase High Jump Kick as the featured attack. If you evolve Steenee between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM local time on May 19 (during the event and up to five hours after), the resulting Tsareena will acquire High Jump Kick, a Charged Attack of the Fighting type. High Jump Kick has the following characteristics:

May 2024 Community Day Event Bonuses
During Bounsweet Community Day, the following event bonuses will be in effect:
- Receive twice (2x) the amount of Candy when catching Pokemon.
- The hatch distance for eggs placed into incubators will be decreased by 75%.
- The duration of Lure Modules has been extended to three (3) hours, as opposed to the standard 30 minutes.
- Incense will last for three (3) hours instead of the usual one (1) hour. (Note: Daily Adventure Incense is excluded from this bonus.)
- A maximum of five (5) Bounsweet photobombs.
- Players at level 31 and above have a doubled (2x) chance of obtaining Candy XL when capturing Pokemon.
During Bounsweet Community Day, the following bonuses will be active and will remain so for a period of five (5) hours after the event ends, lasting from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (local time).
- You have the option to make an additional Special Trade, which will raise the daily maximum to two (2).
- The cost of trades will be reduced by 50% in terms of Stardust.
May 2024 Community Day Field Research
Players can obtain event-specific Field Research by spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops. By catching a high number of Bounsweet, players can earn rewards such as:
- Stardust,
- Great Balls,
- and meetings with Bounsweet.
May 2024 Community Day PokeStop Showcases
The May 2024 Community Day will feature showcases of PokeStops. Display your Bounsweet and pray that Toucannon and Greedent remain unaware.
May 2024 Community Day Bonus Raids
On May 19, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM (local time), Steenee will be featured in four-star raids. These raids will only be available locally and cannot be joined using Remote Raid Passes. However, if you successfully defeat the raid, there will be an increased chance of encountering a shiny Bounsweet near the Gym for 30 minutes.
May 2024 Community Day Special Research Story
The upcoming Bounsweet Community Day will feature a Special Research Story that can be obtained by either purchasing it for US$1 or gifting it to an in-game friend who is at the Great Friends level or higher. The price will be equivalent to your local currency.

Another option for obtaining a Special Research Story ticket is by purchasing the Community Day bundle, which is available on the Pokemon GO Web Store for US$4.99. This bundle includes:
