Pokémon Go players hope for more help with Raids

Niantic’s Campfire app helps Pokémon Go players organize Raids and plan their schedule during various events, but now fans have pointed out some key issues that could be fixed by making the game’s best features application available in the game.

Raids in Pokémon Go allow players to capture some of the strongest Pokémon in the game, including Legendary and Mega-Evolved species.

But more often than not, defeating difficult 5-star and 6-star Raids becomes a chore as trainers have to gather at least six to eight people to complete the task, and also organize them.

With Niantic’s Campfire social app, players can connect with in-game friends in their locality to take on any Raid, a feature loved by the community.

That said, it seems that defeating Raids with Campfire is easier said than done, as several players commented on the comments section of a Reddit post by user ‘beonik’ titled: “If Niantic wants People are doing more Raids in person, they need an in-game feature to tell people you’re ready to meet and Campfire is NOT that.”

Campfire should make Raids easier in Pokémon Go

The author explained how, despite Rockets being a great feature of Campfire, they often struggle to gather people for the Raid. They then suggested a “Raid Lure” in Pokémon Go, similar to Rockets and Lure Modules.

If Niantic wants people to raid more in person they need an in-game feature to tell others you are willing to meet and Campfire is NOT it byu/beonik inpokemongo

Other Pokémon Go players jumped into the comments section, agreeing with the author that the game itself needs the features available in Campfire.

One user wrote: “How come a game with so many players online at the same time didn’t even find an easy way to let users connect together???”

As one trainer said: “Yeah, it’s really stupid to make a separate app to do what should be in the game,” others added that it gets extremely annoying to constantly switch apps with Pokémon Go that restarts often, and it would be better to include Campfire’s best features in the game itself.

“I don’t want a second app that drains my battery even more and makes me constantly switch between apps, I just want to be visible in Pokémon Go and be able to be seen by other players. Maybe they could only allow chats once you add people as friends, but that should be in the game itself,” one user mentioned.

With some trainers pointing out that “it definitely feels like not enough players are using it,” adding Campfire’s popular perks to mobile gaming would surely help.
