The limited availability of the iPhone SE 3 has led to speculation that Apple may surprise consumers with the release of the next-generation affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE 4.
It is expected that Apple will launch the new iPhone 16 on September 9, alongside the new AirPods, Apple Watch, a redesigned Mac mini, and other products.
According to reports, Apple may surprise fans by launching the next-generation budget-friendly iPhone, the iPhone SE 4, at the Glowtime event next week.
Despite initial expectations for the device to be released in early 2025, a report by Mark Gurman’s PowerOn newsletter suggests otherwise. The stocks of multiple Apple devices are currently declining, according to the report.
The speaker points out that the levels of available stocks for items such as iPhone cases, Apple Watch models and bands, AirPods, and iPad Mini are currently at the lowest they have ever been.
Surprisingly, the report also mentions that the supply of iPhone SE 3 is decreasing. Despite the fact that a new version of this affordable iPhone is not expected until early next year.
Usually, a low quantity of a product or accessory indicates that the item is either being replaced or discontinued.
Due to numerous leaks and rumors, it has been revealed that the iPhone SE 4 is currently being developed. Therefore, it cannot be dismissed that it may be launched together with the iPhone 16.
The speculation surrounding the iPhone SE lineup is further fueled by its irregular launch cycle. Unlike other iPhone models, the iPhone SE series does not adhere to a consistent annual release schedule.
The initial iPhone SE was launched in March 2016, followed by the second-generation version in April 2020, four years later. The third-generation iPhone SE was released in March 2022, just two years after its predecessor.
Despite all three iPhone SE models being launched in the first half of the year, there are very few similarities between their respective release dates. This is why many were convinced that the upcoming budget iPhone would not be released until early 2025.
Despite this, the iPhone SE 3 is scheduled for an update, and with the potential addition of AI features and the speculated design changes, it may be a worthwhile investment for those seeking a budget-friendly iPhone.
