Enhance Your Browsing with Microsoft Edge’s Split Screen Feature
Microsoft Edge offers a convenient “Split screen” capability that allows users to view two web pages simultaneously within the same browser window. The implementation of the “Split window” feature simplifies the process of simultaneously viewing multiple tabs, eliminating the need for additional windows. After enabling this feature, users can easily click the newly provided button next to the address bar, allowing for a quick setup of side-by-side tabs.
How to Enable the Split-Screen Feature
To start using the split-screen feature in Microsoft Edge, follow these easy steps:

Launch Microsoft Edge.

Type the following in the address bar and hit Enter:
edge://settings/appearance/toolbar -
Toggle on the “Split screen” option.
After completing these steps, the Split screen button will be visible next to the address bar.
Using the Split Screen Feature
To begin utilizing this feature, simply click on the “Split screen” button. Your current tab will split into two, featuring independent address bars for enhanced functionality.

In this dual-view setup, users can access the “Split view” menu to explore various options. This includes the ability to reposition the tabs, switch layout between vertical and horizontal views, and manage how content is displayed.
To revert the split tabs back into regular tabs, simply click the “Split screen” button again, restoring the usual single-tab experience.
