In the wake of a significant exploit over the holidays, Rainbow Six Siege players experienced an unexpected influx of in-game currency and subsequent bans, and it seems the title has fallen victim to a new hacking incident.
On December 27, 2025, a substantial number of players discovered that their accounts had been credited with billions of R6 credits. This sudden windfall allowed them to access a plethora of exclusive cosmetics, Packs, and Renown. However, the excitement was short-lived for many users, as a simultaneous wave of random bans hit their accounts due to a mass breach of the game’s servers.
Ubisoft acted swiftly to address these issues, rolling back the game to its pre-hack condition, which involved rescinding all unauthorized credits and canceling the mysterious bans. Unfortunately, the resolution did not put an end to the troubles.
New Wave of Bans Following Recent Breach
Social media platforms have erupted with reports from Rainbow Six Siege players, all voicing their frustrations over a new round of bans. Many accounts have been suspended for an unusual duration of 67 days, referencing the popular “Six Seven”meme, leaving users perplexed and unable to engage in gameplay.

The number of affected players seems extensive, cutting across various user demographics, including both seasoned creators and casual gamers. Many players now find themselves in limbo, unable to log in or participate in gaming sessions.
Furthermore, the official Rainbow Six Siege status page highlights ongoing issues concerning game functionality. Among the reported problems are outages affecting Authentication, Matchmaking, and the In-Game Store. All platforms are currently facing “unplanned issues, ” leading to degraded connectivity and gameplay experiences.
While Ubisoft has not publicly confirmed the latest breach on their social media channels, they appear to be monitoring the situation closely, confirming their awareness and ongoing investigation into the matter.
