Despite completing Rediscover Kanto’s Special Research quest, many Pokemon Go trainers have expressed disappointment in the underwhelming rewards offered.
To generate continued excitement for the nearly 8-year-old mobile game, Pokemon Go revealed its Rediscover Go event, which will introduce various updates on multiple dates.
In addition to these updates, fans can anticipate the Rediscover Kanto event, which includes a Special Research quest that offers trainers the opportunity to gain a large amount of XP, encounter rare Pokemon, and receive other rewards.
Regrettably, there are fans who believe that this commemorative occasion falls short in certain aspects, particularly when it comes to the rewards for the Special Research quest.
Some members of the community have discussed their feelings towards the Special Research quest’s final reward, which includes 10,000 Stardust and an Incubator. These discussions suggest that some fans were left feeling underwhelmed, especially due to the challenging tasks they were required to complete.
According to one fan, the requirement to earn more Stardust than the reward, which is only an incubator, is not worth it. They mentioned that Step 5 tasks players with earning 15,100 Stardust, but only rewards them with 10,000 Stardust.
Despite the backlash, there were still many fans who argued that receiving a large amount of Stardust, 90,000 XP, and an Incubator was not a negative outcome.
Some individuals also enjoyed having a long-term objective to strive for, as it kept them invested in the game. “I enjoy having lengthy tasks because it gives me a constant objective to work towards,”expressed one trainer.
Despite the possibility of a stronger reaction if this Research were a paid quest, it remains available for free to all players. While some may find the Special Research underwhelming, there is still potential for excitement with the introduction of Wiglett in Rediscover Kanto.
