IShowSpeed has supposedly caused frustration among Manchester United staff due to his appearance at the club’s FA Cup celebration event on YouTube.
At the age of 19, he was present at Manchester United’s FA Cup final match against Manchester City on May 25, witnessing the Red Devils claim their 13th victory in the club’s history.
That evening, Speed posted pictures on various social media platforms of him, United player Alejandro Garnacho, and manager Erik ten Hag at the club’s post-event celebration.
According to the DailyMail, Man Utd staff are unhappy with the presence of the YouTuber at the celebration, as he was not invited to the event.
According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS decided to cancel the United staff party in order to reduce costs. Despite alleged dissatisfaction among staff, IShowSpeed’s cameraman ‘Slipz’ defended the decision in a post on X, stating that they were personally invited by the players and warmly welcomed by everyone at the party.
“He wrote that he was invited by players and was welcomed by everyone, including the manager, once he arrived.”
Fortunately for Speed, he wasn’t physically harmed during the heated argument he got into with a group of United fans at the game, where he was encouraging them to support the team. This was a stark contrast to last year’s final, where he was attacked.
Despite his young age, this rising star’s larger-than-life personality and relentless determination are proving fruitful as he continues to dominate the streaming world. His fans have taken notice of his hard work, applauding Speed and his team for their exceptional marketing skills and ability to consistently produce viral content.
Speed gained attention after showing up at Gloucestershire’s yearly cheese competition, participating in the event and surprisingly placing fourth without any prior preparation.
