The remake of Resident Evil 4 follows Agent Leon S. Kennedy on his mission to locate and save the president’s daughter from a deranged sect. He discovers at the start of his search that he must fight his way through countless hordes of infected villagers in order to complete his mission, but the weapons he begins with are not particularly potent.
Thankfully, Leon will not be compelled to rely on the weapons he begins the game with for too long, as the RE4 remake permits frequent customization of the player’s weapon loadout. Throughout the game’s chapters, Leon can find a variety of unique weapons that he can integrate into his combat arsenal, but some, such as the Killer7 magnum, are superior to others.
How to Obtain the Killer7 Magnum Weapon in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Despite their appearance, the magnums available in Resident Evil 4 remake are capable of dealing significant damage to all adversaries. In Chapter 7, players will have the opportunity to acquire a magnum by interacting with the Merchant and purchasing the Shattered Butterfly from him. To obtain the Killer7 magnum, however, players must progress through the primary storyline until Chapter 13.
To acquire the Killer7 magnum, players must locate and interact with the Merchant during Chapter 13 or later. They can purchase the weapon from him for 77,700 Pesetas. The Killer7 is a relatively expensive weapon, but in order to earn the Gun Fanatic trophy/achievement, players must purchase it at some point during the game.
Does the Killer7 Magnum Offer Value?
The Killer7 magnum will presumably be one of the final weapons Leon obtains in the Resident Evil 4 remake, unless players initiate a New Game+ playthrough after completing the story. Due to this, players will likely already have a weapon setup they enjoy, so they may not wish to purchase the Killer7, particularly given its high price.
In light of the fact that the Killer7 magnum is arguably the finest magnum in the entire game, its price of 77,700 Pesetas seems relatively low in comparison to other, less effective firearms.
- Unlike the Broken Butterfly, the Killer7 comes with a laser sight, allowing for more precise aiming.
- When fully enhanced, it offers 28.0 Power, making it slightly better than the Broken Butterfly that, when upgraded, only offers 27.0.
- The Killer7’s maximum Ammo Capacity is 15, while the Broken Butterfly’s is 10.
- The Killer7’s Reload Speed, when fully enhanced, is 1.40, while the Broken Butterfly’s maximum level is 5.
- The Killer7’s Rate of Fire, when fully enhanced, is 1.16, but the Broken Butterfly’s is 1.33.
Those who prioritize power should consider purchasing the Killer7, as it is more powerful than the Broken Butterfly, whereas those who prioritize faster firing and reload rates should stay with the Broken Butterfly. The Handcannon Magnum, unlocked by completing Resident Evil 4 remake on Professional Mode, is superior to the Killer7 in every aspect except Rate of Fire, but it is much more difficult to acquire, making the Killer7 the superior choice in the long run.
If players have extra Pesetas when they can purchase the Killer7 magnum, they should strongly consider doing so, as the laser scope alone more than justifies the purchase.
The remake of Resident Evil 4 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
