Kickstarting 2025, Too Kyo Games has introduced an exciting new title: The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. This tactical RPG, featuring the creative vision of Kazutaka Kodaka, is currently available on both PC and Nintendo Switch. Players can enjoy a robust experience on PC with a variety of settings to customize their gameplay.
However, it should be noted that the game is not without its shortcomings. Notably, it lacks support for ultrawide monitors and HDR display. Fortunately, modding enthusiast Lyall is already working on a solution to enhance the ultrawide experience for players.
Enhancing Ultrawide Support in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy
Currently, players will encounter black bars on either side of the screen throughout both gameplay and cutscenes due to the absence of ultrawide support. Thankfully, Lyall’s patch effectively eliminates these visual limitations, providing a fully immersive ultrawide experience.
Installing the patch is a simple process:
- Navigate to the GitHub release page.
- Download the most recent version by selecting the zip link found under Assets.
- Extract the contents of the zip file to your game’s installation folder.
Once the installation is complete, simply launch the game, and the intrusive black bars will be removed. In addition to enabling ultrawide support, it also introduces several valuable features:
- Custom Resolution Support: Players can input their desired width and height, allowing for customization even on unusual monitor setups.
- Adjustable Framerate: This feature removes the framerate cap when vsync is turned off within the game, with options ranging from 0 to 1000, while 60 is set as the default.
To fully utilize these features, players are required to modify the HundredLineFix.ini file included with the patch.

Adjust the settings in the ini file to your own specifications. Also, ensure you activate the custom resolution option by changing the “Enabled” value to true.
A special thanks to Lyall for his dedication in developing and testing this patch.
To uninstall the patch, merely revert the settings in the configuration file to disable them or delete the patch files you extracted. Given the unlikely prospect of official support from the developers, Lyall’s mod remains the most effective solution for enjoying The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy on ultrawide displays.
