Following this introductory segment, the plot progresses with Toto helping Amamiya approach a crime scene, though Amamiya appears hesitant to require his assistance for this serious case.
Upon arrival, they are met by a police officer who reports the identity of the first witness and discloses that Ron was the one who requested Toto’s presence at the scene. Ron, pretending to deliver sweets, cleverly used this ruse to slip into the investigation.

The deceased, completely bound with ropes, was gruesomely impaled on a unicorn statue at the Shibuya Mall Park. A plaque bearing a quote from Revelation was affixed to the victim’s body, leading Ron to conclude that this crime was unprecedented in the annals of their investigative careers.

The unfolding events saw a police officer detailing the circumstances around the victim’s demise to Toto and Amamiya. They initially deduced that the murderer had utilized a pulley mechanism with the rope, but the escape route of the culprit remained a mystery.
In a flash of insight, Ron deciphered the method behind the grisly murder. He reasoned that the crime must have occurred just before the security guard secured the area. Observing the victim’s clenched hands, Ron concluded that the victim was forced to hang onto the rope until he could no longer grip it, ultimately leading to his tragic fate.

After identifying the victim, the police revealed that he was implicated in a cryptocurrency heist and bore a distinctive branding on his neck. This branding mirrored the mark on Ron’s neck, indicating to Ron that this crime was a deliberate challenge posed by the House of M.
Ron inferred that the branding served as a precursor to the next murder, suspecting that the next target might be linked to the hacker crew associated with the deceased. He predicted the next murder would likely happen at 10 PM, giving them a tight window to act.
However, a startling realization struck Ron: the branding did not indicate a time, but rather the location of the next attack—the intersection at Scramble Crossing in Shibuya. He hurriedly informed Toto and sprinted toward the busy crossing, convinced that this would be the site of the imminent attack.
Climactic Closing Moments
As Ron and Toto scanned their surroundings for any signs of the assailant, a sudden cloud of smoke enveloped them, obscuring their vision completely. In the chaos, they heard a woman’s terrified scream, realizing too late that another crime had taken place right before their eyes.
The latest victim, a fellow member of the cryptocurrency hacker team, was found lifeless, an arrow protruding from his chest bearing a matching inscription to that of the first victim’s branding. As frustration mounted for Ron, he scrutinized the arrow and came to the grim realization that the murderer’s spree was far from over.
