Discussions Underway for New Projects

During the recent Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, Schwarzenegger hinted at exciting developments, revealing that he is in talks with 20th Century Studios regarding a new Predator film directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Additionally, he mentioned ongoing work on scripts for both Commando 2 and a new King Conan movie.
“They did an additional Predator, and the director has been doing a great job, ” Schwarzenegger noted.“Now, he wants me to be in the next Predator. We’ve talked about it, ” as reported by TheArnoldFans. He went on to mention that Fox Studios has recently reignited its interest in working with him, stating, “They’ve come to me and said, ‘We want you to do Predator, we just got a script for you to do Commando 2.’”
In addition to the anticipated Predator project, Schwarzenegger announced that Christopher McQuarrie, known for his work on the Mission: Impossible series, is set to write and direct the upcoming King Conan film. He assured fans that this role would be suitable for his age while affirming, “I’ll still go in there and kick some ass.”

Providing insight into what audiences can expect from King Conan, he referenced the original works of writer Robert E. Howard, stating, “It’s a great old story that Conan was 40 years as King and now he gets forced out of the kingdom. There’s conflict, of course, but somehow he comes back and there’s all kinds of madness, violence, magic, and creatures.” He expressed enthusiasm about major advancements in special effects, mentioning, “The studio has plenty of money to make those movies really big, so I’m looking forward to all of those projects.”
