Riot Games has announced significant adjustments to the Agents roster in the upcoming patch 11.08, with a holistic rework across all Agent classes. This update marks a transformative chapter for Valorant, especially following the excitement of the game’s fifth anniversary and its transition to Unreal Engine 5 during mid-2025.
With the Valorant Champions Paris now completed and NRG crowned champions, the promised alterations are swiftly taking shape. Patch 11.08 aims to redefine the gameplay experience by implementing a comprehensive overhaul of all Agent types.

Changes to Duelist Agents
Beginning with the Duelists, the patch will generally adjust their abilities, leading to various nerfs. Riot Games stated, “We’ve standardized most concuss durations to 2.5 seconds in this patch, including Neon’s relay bolt.” In addition, the Combat Stims are being modified to reduce advantages related to reloading, firing, and drawing, alongside limiting bullet spread.
Specific adjustments are also noted for individual Duelists. Yoru will now produce an activation sound when using Gatecrash, can only teleport when in his Ultimate form, and his flash duration has been shortened. Neon gains an extended running duration; however, her fuel regeneration will be slower. Furthermore, Waylay’s and Iso’s abilities will have a reduced duration for hindrance and a smaller area of effect in their Ultimates.

Modifications for Sentinel Agents
Regarding Sentinels, Riot explained, “Some abilities are sneakier than we’d like, so we’re making them easier to spot, bait out, or destroy.”In addition, when a signature ability is destroyed, most Sentinel cooldowns will increase.
For Vyse, Razorvines will now have their health halved, while the activation time for the Steel Garden will increase, covering less area in the process. Moreover, the Arc Rose will no longer emit a sound when it blinds an enemy. Health adjustments are also coming for barriers: Deadlock and Sage’s barriers will have reduced durability but will cost less to deploy, now priced at 300 credits. Additionally, Killjoy’s Alarm Bot health will decrease from 50 HP to 20 HP, and Cypher’s Trapwires will only slow enemies upon activation, removing the concussion effect.

Initiator Role Adjustments
The focus for Initiators shifts toward greater precision in initiating attacks. Players will now have improved visibility when under the effects of nearsighted abilities, such as Fade’s Prowlers. Riot noted the intention to standardize nerfs for non-ultimate stuns to enhance players’ muscle memory across different abilities.
Rechargeable abilities for Sova, KAY/O, Fade, and Breach will now have a cooldown period of one minute. Additionally, Geko’s buddies will now have a cooldown of 20 seconds, and Wingman and Thrash will see reduced health. Breach’s ultimate will become more affordable at eight points, though its area of effect and concussion duration will be diminished.

Adjustments for Controller Agents
Controllers will also be subjected to universal adjustments regarding nearsight abilities and cooldowns on rechargeable skills. Notably, Omen and Astra’s smoke abilities will last for a shorter duration than the usual 60 seconds.
Omen’s Paranoia ability will have a reduced area of effect but will now travel faster at a speed of two meters per second. Additionally, Viper’s Pit, Paranoia Cloud, and Toxic Screen will exhibit a lesser decay rate for both health and shields.
