The online community was abuzz with dating rumors between aespa Winter and RIIZE Sungchan after an OP presented five pieces of evidence.
The suspicion arose on June 14 when an internet user shared an article on Nate Pann speculating a possible relationship between the two K-pop stars.
Specifically, they backed up their arguments by providing five pieces of evidence, beginning with referencing a previous interview with the male celebrity in question. During this interview, Sungchan was questioned about his preferred season and he stated that he was not particularly fond of summer or winter.
The OP specifically highlighted Shotaro and Eunseok’s attempts to contain their laughter as they heard Sungchan mention “winter.”

The author argued that there was no reason to find it amusing, asserting that it was likely related to pronouncing the female idol’s name in Korean.
The second “instance”of evidence was when Sungchan named his dog after the idol, and the third “indication”is their shared interest in watching adorable puppy videos.
Additionally, the fan fueled the dating speculation by sharing pictures of Winter & Sungchan wearing matching items, including a cardigan, glasses, jacket, and sweater.
Finally, the OP also highlighted that Sungchan specifically chose Busan as the location for their fan sign event, as it is Winter’s hometown.
Upon being published, the article received a total of 73.4k views and sparked a mix of reactions from K-pop enthusiasts, including MYs (fans of aespa) and BRIIZEs (supporters of RIIZE).
Despite some agreeing that it could be a possibility, the majority rejected this speculation and urged Netters to leave both idols alone.
Mys stood up for Winter when she was targeted by Sungchan’s fans, who were spreading false rumors and calling her names.
