Introduced with the launch of Warzone in 2020, the Ghost Perk has become a cornerstone of many players’ loadouts. As Season 2 Reloaded approaches, this essential feature is set to receive significant enhancements.

Ghost is designed to keep players hidden from enemy UAVs, allowing for stealthy movement throughout the map. However, its effectiveness hinges on continuous movement; if players remain stationary for 1.5 seconds or more, the Perk’s benefits will be disabled. This is referred to as the ‘grace period.’ Players must resume moving within this time frame to maintain Ghost’s effectiveness.

Enhancements to Ghost in Season 2 Reloaded

With the forthcoming Season 2 Reloaded update, scheduled for March 11, developers aim to improve the usability of Ghost. The official blog states, “Stay hidden from enemy UAVs and other intel gathering devices for a longer period of time with this buff that ends the Ghost grace period after 5 seconds, up from 1.5 seconds.”

This enhancement delivers a significant advantage, as the jump from 1.5 seconds to 5 seconds allows players greater freedom to pause—whether while utilizing Buy Stations, looting, or engaging in firefights—without the constant fear of being detected after a brief stop.

It’s important to note that this alteration applies solely to Battle Royale and Resurgence modes. The new Black Ops Royale mode, set to launch on March 12, diverges from the traditional Perk framework, permitting players to carry up to five Perks at once, though their effects diminish after a few minutes.

As Black Ops Royale introduces new dynamics that aim to heighten the challenge of gunfights, those interested can explore how this mode differs from conventional Battle Royale gameplay.
