Seo Ye-ji’s Return to the Public Eye After Scandals

According to reports, Seo Ye-ji is scheduled to participate in a photo session for a cosmetics brand at a department store in Jung-gu, Seoul on the morning of August 23rd.

Despite the allegations of gaslighting, school violence, and forgery of academic background, Seo Ye-ji’s appearance in front of reporters marks the first time in approximately two years.

During that period, Seo Ye-ji was accused of gaslighting her boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun and it had a detrimental impact on the MBC drama “Time”in which he was the lead actor. Kim Jung-hyun publicly displayed a lack of sincerity towards the female lead and eventually withdrew from the project citing health concerns.

Despite Gold Medalist, her agency at the time, actively denying the allegations, Seo Ye-ji’s reputation suffered as she was accused of bullying and fabricating her academic credentials. The public perception of her turned negative.

After engaging in a period of self-reflection, Seo made her return to tvN’s drama “Eve”in 2022. Due to the controversy surrounding her, the drama opted to forgo a press conference for its first episode. However, despite high expectations, “Eve”only achieved a rating of 3-4%, which was ultimately disappointing.

Last year, Seo Ye-ji terminated her exclusive contract with Gold Medalist and in June of this year, she joined Sublime, her new agency. Additionally, she has created a new SNS account to stay connected with her fans.
