Unexpected Encounters: Seol In-ah and Cha Hak-yeon’s Surprising History
During an engaging appearance on the YouTube channel Cheonggye Mountain Records on May 23, actors Seol In-ah and Cha Hak-yeon, along with their co-star Jung Kyung-ho, shared intriguing anecdotes from their past. Host Jo Jung-suk prompted them to disclose whether they had met previously, leading to an unexpected revelation about their intertwined histories.
Rediscovering Past Connections
Initially, Seol In-ah thought their first interaction occurred on the set of their current drama. However, she soon remembered an intriguing coincidence involving Cha Hak-yeon.
“It turns out we’d actually met twice before, ” Seol shared, both actors laughing in disbelief, “We only just realized it on the way here today.”
A Panic Attack and an Unexpected Role
Cha Hak-yeon recounted an incident from a film premiere he attended, where Seol In-ah was serving as the MC for MBC’s “Section TV.” On that day, Seol faced a severe panic attack right before she was scheduled to conduct interviews.
“I was supposed to go out, but I collapsed due to a panic attack, ” Seol explained.“The staff asked if anyone could step in, and Hak-yeon ended up doing the interview in my place.”
Cha further elaborated on this unexpected twist of fate:
“I had just come to watch the movie, and suddenly I was being asked to sit down for an interview. I didn’t meet Seol at the time because she had to be taken to the hospital, but that’s where our story began.”
Recollections from Another Encounter
The duo also reminisced about a somewhat foggy memory from a beauty-themed variety show, where Cha had once done Seol’s makeup, though they both confessed to having minimal recollection of that specific moment.
New Beginnings in “Oh My Ghost Clients”
Now, both actors are set to light up screens in the upcoming series “Oh My Ghost Clients, ” premiering on May 30. The drama, featuring veteran actor Jung Kyung-ho, focuses on a labor attorney gifted with the ability to see ghosts, as he navigates surreal labor disputes within a comically fantastical framework.
