SEVENTEEN DK ‘Booed’ at Concert Over Fake Abs and Angers Fans

During the fan event “CARAT LAND,”SEVENTEEN’s DK playfully revealed his “fake abs,”much to the amusement of the audience. However, some members jokingly “booed”the idol, sparking a playful response from CARATs online.

The 8th fanmeeting of SEVENTEEN, “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND”, took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on July 23 and 24. The group’s interactions, games, and performances provided many CARATs with unforgettable memories.

One particular highlight from the fan event has garnered the most attention. As part of the event, a game was held in which the losing team had to perform a penalty song. On the venue screen, it was announced that DK’s assigned song was “Guilty”by SHINee’s Taemin.

Eventually, DK entertained fans by performing the song, which includes a seductive highlight move that reveals the stomach. However, rather than showing his actual abs, DK amused everyone by wearing a shirt with printed abs.

Despite DK’s wholesome humor and gimmick to entertain CARATs, a significant portion of the audience playfully “booed”the idol due to their disappointment in not being able to see his actual abs.

Based on multiple videos available online, it appeared that DK was displeased with the reactions, and his fellow bandmate Seungkwan went as far as to stand up and issue a “yellow card”warning to those who booed.

Despite being intended as jokes, the “booing”and “thumbs down”gestures were met with widespread anger from netizens who viewed them as disrespectful and insensitive towards the fans present at the venue.

At the same time, others commended the remaining SEVENTEEN members for supporting DK.
