Snoop Dogg’s return to Warzone and MW3 divides the community

Season 3 of Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 will once again welcome famous rapper Snoop Dogg as an Operator, which has caused mixed reactions among players.

Developers have begun to lift the lid on Season 3 of MW3 and Warzone, and players quickly spotted a familiar face in the update’s artwork.

Indeed, iconic rapper Snoop Dogg appears at the end of the first official trailer, revealing that he will have a new skin for this season.

This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has appeared in Call of Duty, as he has also had an Operator in Vanguard, Modern Warfare 2 and CoD Mobile. In fact, if you count his voice work in CoD: Ghosts, MW3 and Warzone will mark Snoop’s fifth and sixth appearance in the franchise.

We don’t yet know how players will be able to unlock the new Snoop Dogg skin in Season 3, but it’s highly likely that it will arrive as a bundle in the store, as has been the case in the past, but it could also appear in the new Battle Pass, like Rick Grimes in Season 2.

Although Snoop Dogg and Call of Duty are now inseparable, the announcement of his return has divided MW3 and Warzone players. Some were happy to see the return of the legendary rapper, especially since Season 3 relies heavily on the return of elements from the past.

“I left the original Rebirth as Snoop, hopefully I can return to Rebirth as Snoop soon,” one player said in response to CharlieIntel ‘s tweet, before another added: “At this point, it would be a crime not to include it. The dude has been an iconic figure in Call of Duty for years now.”

However, others want developers to innovate instead of reusing the same collaborations in every game, especially since many players have already purchased a version of it in the past.

“Boring. No disrespect to Snoop, but man, you’ve been in enough CoDs, it’s time to add more celebs,” argued one fan, while another added: “I already bought it in Warzone 1 just to have it taken away from me, I won’t buy it twice.”

As a reminder, Snoop Dogg will make his return in Season 3 of Warzone and MW3, which will launch on April 3 and will also see the return of Rebirth Island as well as the addition of several new weapons.
