Sung Jinwoo’s fight against Cerberus in Episode 7 of Solo Leveling was one of the most impressive encounters in the anime so far, and there are some details that make it even better.
The fact that the hero of Solo Leveling can even face an opponent of Cerberus’ caliber in episode 7 is a testament to his journey in the anime so far. From the frail E-rank hunter in the first episode to the player taking advantage of his “system” , the hero’s transformation is a miracle. And Jinwoo hasn’t finished dazzling his fans, preparing for even more intense fights.
The fight against Cerberus lasts almost an entire episode. However, in the manhwa adapted by the studio A-1 Pictures, it only lasts a few pages. The series shows us a grueling duel, offering a result that is all the more satisfying as Jinwoo must push his limits and use the slightest trick to survive against a tough opponent.
He seems to barely escape in the end, but his strategy may have been smarter than you think.
Sung Jinwoo used a special ability to defeat Cerberus in Solo Leveling
After killing two of the three heads of Cerberus, Sung Jinwoo found himself facing an extremely ferocious last one. He gets bitten, but ends up closer in the process, allowing him to hit the eye repeatedly, until the hellhound’s death ensues.
It goes without saying that the young man’s blows could cause significant damage, but was that enough to kill the big infernal doggie? Not sure. In fact, what helped him in the fight was his dagger’s bleeding ability. Each hit leaves a lingering effect on his enemy, draining his life points.
In the manhwa, Jinwoo enters a state of rage when he understands that the system is using him, and settles his score with the creature in a double page by using force. By adapting the scene, the A-1 Pictures studio therefore chose to show more of the difficulty experienced by the hero, which better explains why he then refuses to enter the infernal fortress.
Even if he turns his back on the fortress, Jinwoo will have to prove himself in other portals. And that of episode 8 of Solo Leveling also promises its share of epic fights.
