On October 22, News1 reported that Son Na Eun has officially joined the cast of Manager Kim, a highly anticipated drama adapted from the popular Naver webtoon of the same name. The plot centers around Manager Kim, portrayed by So Ji Sub, who, while appearing to be a typical middle-aged office employee, harbors a hidden past as a North Korean special agent. His life takes a dramatic turn when his cherished daughter is abducted, triggering a resurgence of his latent skills as he embarks on a perilous quest to rescue her.
Son Na Eun will portray Sang Ah, an integral character and colleague at Manager Kim’s workplace. Alongside her, notable actors such as Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho will enhance the excitement surrounding the diverse ensemble cast. There’s a palpable curiosity among viewers regarding the dynamic between Son Na Eun and So Ji Sub, as well as the evolution of her character amid the unfolding tension of the narrative.

The series will be helmed by director Lee Seung Young, acclaimed for his previous works including Wonderful World (2024), Tracer (2022), and Voice 2 (2018).The script is crafted by Nam Dae Joong, making his debut in television drama writing, who is known for directing films such as The First Ride (2025), Love Reset (2023), Homme Fatale (2019), and The Last Ride (2016).
Since her debut in 2011 as a member of Apink, Son Na Eun has consistently expanded her acting repertoire. In the historical drama The Tale of Lady Ok, Son Na Eun took on the role of the real-life noblewoman Ok Tae Young, who transforms the life of the enslaved protagonist, Goo Deok (played by Lim Ji Yeon).This performance underscored her adaptability and depth as an actress.
