A report on July 31st revealed that Song Ji-hyo had won a lawsuit against her former agency, UZUROCKS, in December, resulting in a payout of approximately 1 billion won. However, despite the court’s ruling in her favor, she has not yet received the payment. As a result, her team intends to initiate debt collection procedures in order to retrieve the owed funds.
Last November, a trial court issued a ruling stating that UZUROCKS was obligated to pay Song Ji-hyo 984 million won as part of a settlement, along with accrued interest.
Despite the filing of the lawsuit, UZUROCKS failed to respond, resulting in the court issuing a default judgment in accordance with civil procedure laws and closing the case.
Despite UZUROCKS’ failure to appeal within the designated time frame, this still led to Song Ji-hyo’s ultimate triumph. Nonetheless, seven months have passed and she has yet to receive the agreed upon payment.
In April of last year, Song Ji-hyo informed UZUROCKS of her decision to terminate her exclusive contract. The following month, she took legal action against the former UZUROCKS representative for alleged embezzlement and filed a settlement claim lawsuit. In October of the same year, she signed an exclusive contract with NEXUS E&M.
