Following a turbulent release characterized by Mostly Negative reviews, the developers of Warhammer 40, 000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition are offering players a complete refund alongside a significant discount for potential upgrades.

Despite the initial excitement surrounding the remaster prior to its launch on June 10, 2025, the game’s debut was met with widespread disappointment. Many players expressed dissatisfaction with the actual improvements offered, questioning whether the remaster truly justified its price tag. Numerous reviews have pointed out that, although the game was advertised as having enhanced quality-of-life features and graphical upgrades, many felt that these improvements fell short, with some stating the visuals only appeared “slightly better.”

Notably, this refund option is available regardless of the playtime recorded by players on Steam. This means that even if you have played for more than the standard two-hour window, you can still request a refund.

In addition to full refunds, the developers are offering a generous 50% discount for players interested in purchasing the Master Crafted Edition. Players who own the Anniversary Edition will automatically receive this discount, whereas those who purchased the Master Crafted Edition will need to initiate a manual refund before repurchasing the game at the reduced price.

For those who decide to continue their journey with the game, the developers have shared plans for future enhancements. Multiple updates are set to roll out in the coming weeks, focusing on fixes such as improved localization, controller support, enhanced user interface and experience (UI/UX), and a variety of other improvements.

“We are committed to listening, evolving, and communicating as we implement these changes. Your patience is appreciated, ” the developers stated.
