Hollow Knight: Silksong presents a significant challenge for gamers, yet this has not deterred the speedrunning community. In fact, one player has achieved an impressive world record time.
Since its launch on September 4, the game has tested players with its formidable boss encounters. The difficulty was so pronounced that Team Cherry swiftly enacted a patch post-release to lower the difficulty of several key bosses.
While many players are still acclimating to the game’s challenges, speedrunners are already pushing the limits of performance. Recently, a notable speedrunner has broken the world record time.
Blue Goes Fast Sets a New Any% World Record
Speedrunner Blue Goes Fast has established a new Any% world record for Hollow Knight: Silksong with a remarkable finish time of 1:03:41.
This extraordinary run was shared on YouTube and has quickly been acknowledged as the fastest completion yet.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that Blue previously held the record at 1:08:15, marking a remarkable improvement of five minutes. This rapid evolution in speedrunning strategies during the game’s early days highlights players’ keen optimization in movement, boss battles, and resource allocation.
On X, Blue celebrated this milestone, stating, “Silksong Any% Speedrun world record in 1:03:41!! AHHH, this run was insanely good, I’m so proud of it. And what an incredible game this is to speedrun.” The runner even hinted at the possibility of achieving a sub-1-hour run soon.
The timing of this record is equally impressive, as it comes just under two weeks after Silksong’s release. Achieving a world record in such a short span showcases the dedication and skill within the speedrunning community.
With Blue’s continued momentum, it seems we may soon witness runs clocking under one hour, further pushing the boundaries of this thrilling game.
