After partially transforming into her wolf form, the girl vanishes after receiving a bundle of wheat. Perplexed, Kraft Lawrence makes his way back to the village to spend the night. Yarei then offers him a drink and the two engage in conversation.
The following evening, Kraft reunites with Holo, the wolf girl. He discovers that she desires to return to her homeland in the far north. The traveling merchant departs from the village the following day.
