Squeezie: Thank you Internet – The YouTube star reveals himself in a documentary

It’s impossible not to know the Youtuber in France: beyond his number 1 position, Squeezie has been able to touch everything and try his hand at many other areas – the most striking example to date remains the GP Explorer.

Having become one of the most famous faces in the French-speaking landscape on YouTube, the videographer will be entitled to his own documentary on his career, his way of perceiving content creation and behind the scenes of his filming. Documented by its director Théodore Bonnet who never stopped filming the life of the Youtuber, Squeezie: Merci Internet joins the ranks of documentaries similar to Never Show That to Anyone, which revealed new facets of the singer Orelsan.

Release date, streaming platform and other information: we tell you everything we know about the Squeezie documentary series: Thank you Internet.

Where and when to watch Squeezie: Thanks Internet?

The documentary series Squeezie: Thank You Internet will be available on Prime Video, January 19, 2024. Meet at 1 a.m., i.e. on the night of Thursday 18 to Friday 19.

What is Squeezie: Thanks Internet about?

French Internet users have known the now emblematic figure of YouTube for 10 years now. 10 years of evolution, testing, collaborations with other content creators.

10 years of images taken by its director Théodore Bonnet, who decided to compile everything and add what he knows of the videographer, who became his friend in a decade. A bit like the documentary Never Show That to Anyone about Orelsan, co-directed by his little brother, Merci Internet aims to be a more intimate vision of the internet star.

In any case, that’s how the Prime Video summary sells us: “At 27 years old, Lucas Hauchard aka Squeezie is the leading videographer in France with more than 18 million subscribers on YouTube. From his beginnings in his teenage bedroom, to the GP explorer, he has become the icon of a generation. His friend and director Théodore filmed him during all his adventures and gives us an intimate and touching portrait of a young geek who became number 1 in the country.”

And as Théodore Bonnet adds in voice-over in the trailer: “Today there are more than 10 million of you following him on YouTube. And I’ve been making his videos for 10 years.” The trailer already shows key moments in Lucas Hauchard’s career, which will not have failed to mark Internet users: the GP Explorer of course, but also his most famous videos or clips, including the painful passage on television at Ardisson.

Lots of guests in Squeezie: Thank you Internet

YouTube obliges, the documentary series will be an opportunity to see numerous guests to discuss the star. And most of them are certainly already known to fans of the celebrity.

Lucas Hauchard’s brother, Florent Hauchard, will thus return to the collaboration of the two brothers – who had notably created a brand together and have continued to bring together their worlds.

Other YouTubers will also be there, like the Squeezie channel which has continued to live and grow with its interactions: Spectators will be able to listen to what Lena Situations, Mister V, or even the duo Mcfly and Carlito have to say about the number one videographer on the platform. And perhaps because Squeezie appeared in Never Show That to Anyone, Orelsan will also make a stop to comment.

See you on January 19, 2024 to discover the man who is, in the words of Lena Situations, “the James Cameron of YouTube”!
