Starship Agency reports a post threatening IVE member Jang Won-young’s safety

On May 9th, Starship Entertainment made an announcement through their official social media accounts that a post threatening the safety of their artist, IVE’s Jang Won-young, was shared on a community forum. The post, which included the date and time of the alleged incident, has been reported to the police and an investigation into the author has been launched.

“We have requested an expeditious investigation and increased protection for the safety of the artist. As soon as the identity of the individual is uncovered, we intend to pursue legal action. In order to safeguard our artists, we have bolstered our team of professional security personnel and are reassessing security protocols for their travel, the office premises, and accommodations.”

The agency stressed the importance of monitoring for any potential threats to the safety of our artists in the future and stated that they will take immediate and legal action upon discovery. They also reassured that they will continue to prioritize the safety of their artists.

At the same time, Jang Won-young and the rest of IVE released “IVE SWITCH”on April 29th and are currently promoting their title track “HEYA”.
