In Stellar Blade, there are various types of side quests that are divided into different categories. Here’s an explanation of how side quests function within the game.
After starting as a linear Soulslike game, Stellar Blade opens up once the player reaches the city of Xion, a few hours into the game. They will have the freedom to explore the semi-open world known as the Wasteland while also completing the main quest, as they can come and go from Xion. Visit the game’s website for more information.
Upon arrival in Xion, you will be encouraged to immerse yourself in the city by interacting with NPCs and learning about their stories. This is just one example of a side quest, as there are also opportunities to unlock them through quests in the wilderness or from the notice board.

The notice board is a place to find some quick and easy quests.
NPC Side Quests
In Stellar Blade, the majority of side quests require interacting with an NPC and agreeing to assist them after uncovering their backstory and purpose within Xion. These quests are highly valued as they often provide valuable rewards or reveal new game mechanics.
In a similar vein, aiding Xion’s hairstylist in finding necessary tools, such as scissors, allows you to enlist their help in altering Eve’s hairstyle – for a reasonable fee, of course. Other quests from NPCs also provide comparable compensation.
Wasteland Side Quests
When exploring the Wasteland, you may come across certain triggers that activate side quests. One of these triggers could be encountering a robot in need of assistance. Upon completing the task, you will gain access to the robot’s exclusive shop and hideout, providing a safe haven for you to rest and recover, especially when Xion is too far away.
In general, Wasteland side quests function similarly to NPC side quests, as they must be discovered while exploring the semi-open world. However, many of these quests can be found on your map beforehand, making it easier to locate them.
Notice board side quests
Although they offer minimal rewards and lack significant lore, notice board quests are known for their brevity and simplicity. These compact missions are conveniently posted on the noticeboard in Xion and typically do not require lengthy cutscenes or interactions with non-player characters.
The majority of these quests simply require you to run to a designated location, discover what is there, and then use fast travel to return to the noticeboard and hand in the task. In some cases, you don’t even have to leave Xion to finish the quest. While these notice board quests are not necessary, they can serve as a dependable method for obtaining money and items.
Our recommendation is to accept all quests and complete them while you are exploring and engaging in other activities. The majority of quests only require you to report back once you have located the body of a missing individual.
