Twitch icon Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar was visibly moved during a recent stream, shedding tears as he celebrated over a decade of content creation with his dedicated fanbase.
If you’ve ever browsed the Twitch platform, chances are you’ve encountered Summit. A pioneer in the streaming community, he has been a staple on the service since its early Justin.TV days.
While many streamers rise and fall in popularity, Summit has consistently been a presence. Whether he’s engaging in intense Counter-Strike gameplay or immersing himself in the roleplay world of Grand Theft Auto, he has created countless memorable moments for fans, entertaining them almost daily for years on end.
Having streamed for more than ten years, Summit’s October 26 broadcast turned into a poignant moment of reflection as fans celebrated his contributions. Overcome with emotion by their heartfelt praises, he expressed his gratitude for their unwavering support.
“I don’t often speak from the heart, and I’m not sure how much of this is the alcohol talking, but it truly means a lot that you all continue to watch my channel despite the numerous big-name streamers out there that are incredibly entertaining,” Summit remarked, emphasizing that he prefers to stick to his traditional style rather than jumping on the current IRL content trend.
“Your presence makes every day meaningful for me, you know?” he continued, tears streaming down his face.
“I just want to express my deepest thank you for letting me hang out with you all on this platform.”

He expressed a desire to meet the AMP star one day, despite acknowledging that immersive IRL content isn’t quite his style.
