Since its release in July, Sunny has quietly become a hit for Apple TV+, capturing the hearts of fans with its melancholic interpretation of the robot sci-fi subgenre.
Featuring Rashida Jones as the lead, Sunny tells the story of Suzie, a resident of Kyoto whose world is turned upside down when her husband and son vanish in a devastating airplane accident.
Despite appearances, Suzie’s circumstances are not as straightforward as she initially thought. However, when a friendly robot enters her life, she begins to understand that there is more to her situation than meets the eye.

Sunny Episode 6 release date
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 7, 2024 because that’s when Sunny Episode 6 will be released on Apple TV+.
In the upcoming episode, we will continue from where we left off, with Suzie, Sunny, and Mixxy taking refuge at Mixxy’s family farm. However, when Suzie woke up, she found that Sunny had been replaced by Himé’s prosthetic pillow. Therefore, in Episode 6, Suzie will have her first encounter with Himé.
