The launch of World of Warcraft: The War Within‘s initial raid tier marked the beginning of the highly competitive Race to World First. After 11 grueling days of intense competition, Team Liquid has emerged victorious as the first guild to conquer the formidable Mythic Nerub’ar Palace.

The path to this achievement was indeed long and challenging, filled with various dramatic moments that kept audiences riveted to the livestreams. Initially, after clearing the first four bosses on the first attempt, it seemed that the race might not be as eventful.
However, the intensity soon escalated. The first significant challenge faced was the encounter with Broodtwister, which took Team Liquid a staggering 120 pulls to defeat. It got even tougher when they faced Nexus-Princess, resulting in 304 attempts before finally overcoming the boss.
A total of 171 attempts at The Silken Court became the final hurdle before they geared up for the ultimate battle against Queen Ansurek. After enduring more than a day of fierce fighting, three guilds were in contention for victory, with Team Liquid battling against Method and Echo for the top spot.
Sadly, none of these teams could generate enough DPS to take down Queen Ansurek before her enrage phase wiped their party. In response, Blizzard implemented several nerfs aimed at increasing the chances of victory, setting the stage for Liquid to seize the win.

As of now, other teams are still engaged in a fierce contest for second place, with more nerfs to Ansurek anticipated. Method, Echo, and Huoguo Hero are all battling against the final boss, while teams like ZboX, Instant Dollars, and End Myth are one step behind, still at The Silken Court.
