Tech YouTuber Enderman Faces Account Terminations Due to AI Misjudgment

The popular tech YouTuber known as Enderman has recently had several of their accounts, each boasting hundreds of thousands of subscribers, terminated unexpectedly. Enderman asserts that these terminations were unjust and resulted from decisions made by Artificial Intelligence (AI) without any human oversight.

Despite having a main channel with over 350, 000 subscribers, Enderman’s unease grew when a secondary account was abruptly removed. This account was allegedly terminated for not complying with YouTube’s Terms of Service because it was linked to a foreign-language channel facing multiple copyright strikes—a channel Enderman was not familiar with and did not even understand.

In response to this alarming situation, Enderman released a video on November 3, cautioning their followers that their main account might soon face the same fate. Unfortunately, this prediction came true, as they later found their primary account also at risk, further attributing the issue to YouTube’s reliance on automated systems.

Criticism of YouTube’s Automated Decision-Making

In the video published on November 3, Enderman expressed frustrations regarding YouTube’s automated decision-making process, which they criticized for mistakenly associating their channel with one that had been terminated due to copyright violations.“It wrongfully concluded my channel was associated with a channel that was terminated for three copyright strikes, ” Enderman stated.“I don’t freaking know what channel that is!”

Reflecting on previous challenges in reaching YouTube’s creator support, Enderman pointed to AI as the primary culprit behind the misguided connections that led to their accounts being terminated.“I had no idea such drastic measures like channel termination were allowed to be processed by AI. It’s really unfortunate we have to end so abruptly. I’ve really just lost all hope at this point. Shame on YouTube, ” they lamented.

Advice for Fellow Content Creators

In light of their experience, Enderman urged fellow content creators to treat their YouTube channels as secondary ventures, highlighting the unpredictable nature of platform policies and AI-driven enforcement. They warned that, like themselves, other creators could easily find themselves unfairly penalized by YouTube’s automated systems.

In a bid to preserve Enderman’s content, a group of dedicated fans has begun archiving their extensive library of videos to prevent the loss of their work. This grassroots effort underlines the community’s commitment to supporting creators and managing the impact of AI on content distribution.
