Terrifier 3 Banned for Millions Due to Extreme Gore Leading to Fainting and Vomiting

In a rare move, one nation has implemented a ban on individuals under 18 years of age from viewing *Terrifier 3*, marking the first such restriction in almost two decades. This decision stems from alarming reports of audience members experiencing walkouts, fainting spells, and even vomiting during screenings.

While the *Terrifier* series may not be hailed as the pinnacle of horror cinema, it certainly caters to those with a taste for gore and a nostalgia for video nasties, or anyone who revels in extreme violence (and we mean that positively). These films fulfill a particular, bloody craving for genre enthusiasts.

The inaugural film features a shocking scene where a woman is gruesomely sawed in half, while the sequel escalates the horror with a teenage girl being mercilessly torn apart in her bedroom, reminiscent of one of Sid’s toys from *Toy Story*.

The anticipation for *Terrifier 3* has reached new heights, particularly with its opening sequence (reportedly featuring children—yikes!) prompting some viewers to leave during early viewings.

It’s no surprise that *Terrifier 3* will carry a stringent age rating around the globe. However, France has taken the extraordinary step of completely barring under-18s from attending, a measure not seen since the release of *Saw 3* in 2006.

The distributors of the threequel have expressed their discontent, stating: “We are profoundly disappointed by this unexpected final ruling, which will significantly hinder the film’s release eagerly anticipated by thousands of French cinema-goers, set for October 9 (which remains unchanged).”

Although the previous installments were given strict ratings in France, they were still accessible to viewers aged 16 and older.

“The audience for these films, even if they include teenagers, comprises passionate cinephiles who respect the artistry of the movies and the cinemas presenting them. It’s worth noting that four of our recent releases, including *Terrifier 2*, were restricted to minors under 16, and none of them triggered any disturbances in theaters,” emphasized the distributors.

Nonetheless, the film’s director, Damien Leone, appears unfazed by the ban, referring to it as a “badge of honor” on social media platform X/Twitter.

The earlier films in the *Terrifier* series are currently available for streaming on Tubi.
