This update sets a precedent for future additions of animal variations, following the introduction of different wolf types, hinting at an evolving ecosystem within Minecraft.

The Minecraft 1.21.60 update also introduces an aesthetically pleasing feature—falling particles from all leaf blocks in the Overworld. Now, in addition to Cherry and Pale Oak leaves, the following leaf types will display falling particles:

  • Oak Leaves
  • Jungle Leaves
  • Acacia Leaves
  • Dark Oak Leaves
  • Spruce Leaves
  • Mangrove Leaves
  • Birch Leaves
  • Azalea Leaves
  • Flowering Azalea Leaves

Meanwhile, crafting the Lodestone has become significantly easier. Players can now create this crucial block using a new recipe that requires 8 Chiseled Stone Bricks and 1 Iron Ingot, eliminating the need for risky expeditions into the Nether.
