On January 13, popular Twitch streamer Tfue revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had been banned from the video game Arc Raiders. In a series of posts, he expressed confusion over the reason for the suspension, which has left both him and his fans puzzled.

His initial post included a screenshot showing the notification he received when attempting to launch Embark’s extraction shooter. The message indicated that his account had been “temporarily suspended for behaviour that violates our code of conduct, ”with access purportedly to be restored on February 12, 2026.

Tfue later uploaded another in-game screenshot confirming that his account had been locked due to an alleged violation of the game’s Terms of Service.

Speculation Surrounds the Ban

Without an official statement clarifying the reason for the ban, many fans have hypothesized that it may be connected to an issue with Arc Raiders’ anti-cheat system erroneously flagging Tfue’s account. This speculation has raised questions about the effectiveness of the anti-cheat measures in place.

One fan commented, “It’s almost refreshing to know that the AI can’t tell the difference between a cheater and a good player, ” highlighting both relief and frustration over the situation. The sentiment reflects ongoing concerns within the gaming community about the prevalence of cheating and the efficacy of current anti-cheat technologies.

In a playful nod to the situation, fellow streamer Shroud, who is also known for playing Arc Raiders, chimed in with a tweet that read, “F**k, this is genius bait, ” suggesting that the incident may have been an intentional attention grab or merely a mistake.

This ban comes at a time when Embark Studios has ramped up its efforts to combat cheating in Arc Raiders, with numerous players reporting substantial bans as of January 12, 2026. This crackdown aligns with the studio’s previous acknowledgment of cheating becoming a significant issue, leading to this proactive response.

Tfue has publicly tagged Embark in his posts, seeking clarity regarding his ban. As of now, the game developer has yet to respond to his inquiries, leaving the gaming community eagerly awaiting further developments on this controversy.
