Fortnite superstar and popular streamer Tfue is choosing to remain in Florida as Hurricane Milton approaches, mere weeks after Hurricane Helene caused significant destruction in his hometown. Despite official evacuations, Tfue is staying put.
Turner “Tfue” Tenney resides on the western coast of Florida, where Hurricane Milton is poised to strike, marking another severe storm impacting the area after the devastation left by Hurricane Helene.
Hurricane Helene majorly impacted Tfue’s local community, leading to severe flooding that inundated the first floor of his own residence. “This is so sad, man,” he lamented, sharing images of the aftermath in a widely circulated post on X.

Now, as Hurricane Milton looms closer, Tfue is bracing for an even larger threat. The dangerous storm is expected to make landfall on the evening of October 9, with officials strongly recommending evacuation for residents in the vicinity.
Nevertheless, Tfue remains resolute. In a YouTube video published on October 9, he showcased the devastation wrought by Helene while preparing his belongings for the impending storm by moving them upstairs.
“Katie and I are going to ride this out,” he stated. “The situation doesn’t look too favorable. Love you guys. Hopefully, I’ll be good after this goes live, but you never know.”
Despite his choice to remain behind, the gamer encouraged his viewers to evacuate earlier in the video.
“I’ve got to get the f*ck out of here,” he remarked. “I believe you all should get the f*ck out too.”

Fans took to the comments section to show their support for Tfue, urging him to “stay safe” as the storm approaches.
As of now, Hurricane Milton has been rated as a Category 4 storm with wind speeds reaching 140 mph.
“Catastrophic” flooding is predicted in the impacted regions, and tornado sightings have already been reported across Florida.
Tfue isn’t alone in facing these hurricanes despite public advisories; another Kick streamer gained attention after live-streaming his experience in a tent amidst Hurricane Helene, revealing he “almost died” from the experience.
