Genshin Impact, the action-RPG developed by miHoYo, recently celebrated its third anniversary, enriching its universe with more than 50 characters, a number that continues to grow.
Each character, depending on whether they specialize in healing, attack or support, has their strengths and weaknesses. However, some shine more particularly in different circumstances, whether in exploration or during combat. Here’s a guide to help you build your team.

Collei is one of the first playable Dendro characters. Its main interest is to easily apply the Dendro element to its opponents.

Kuki Shinobu – Support – Electro
For now, the deputy leader of the Arataki Clan is one of the best Electro support characters, which makes her as formidable as she is essential.
Tier B characters on Genshin Impact
Razor – DPS – Electro
Razor doesn’t have the splendor of the best DPS in Genshin Impact, but it remains a viable and interesting option. It is especially during expeditions that its potential is revealed.
Barbara – Healer – Hydro
If you are missing a good healer in your team, with healing in abundance, Barbara is the person for the situation.
Kujou Sara – Support – Electro
If you are looking for a Support to provide buffs or energy to your team, Sara is a most viable choice.
Yanfei – DPS – Pyro
Yanfei is a very interesting Pyro DPS, capable of inflicting serious damage.
Noëlle – Healer – Geo
Although she has fairly average stats, and requires a fairly worked build to excel, Noëlle is a very good Healer.
Chongyun – DPS / Support – Cryo
When it comes to solo feats, Chongyun is clearly not ideal, but with a good team and an adequate build, he will prove to be a very capable support.
Gorou – Support – Geo

Kaeya – Support – Cryo
Kaeya has the ability to inflict interesting Cryo damage, but it is especially useful when it comes to setting up elemental reactions, or creating passages to cross long stretches of water.
Beidou – DPS – Electro
Beidou is one of the most difficult characters to master, making multiple DPS much more popular, but his resilience and offtank gameplay make him a good option for anyone who can take advantage of it.

Ningguang – DPS – Geo
His atypical kit makes Ningguang a DPS hand like no other. Although she is not the strongest DPS in Genshin Impact, she is not to be underestimated, especially when it comes to dealing damage from long range.
Xinyan – Support / DPS – Pyro
Xinyan is a good alternative to Diluc for players who have not yet unlocked it. What’s more, its shield makes it a good support.
Qiqi – Soigneur – Cryo
QiQi is a rather effective healer, especially when fights drag on. The icing on the cake is that it has multiple CCs.
Sayu – Support – Anémo
In addition to the fact that Sayu is the only Anemo two-handed swordsman in Genshin, which is significant, she also offers interesting bonuses thanks to her constellations.
Dehya – DPS/Support – Pyro
Dehya lacks the utility to be a good support, but she also lacks the damage to establish herself as a solid DPS.
Alloy – DPS – Cryo
At first glance, Aloy doesn’t look like much. However, she is not as mediocre as she appears once her normal attacks are infused with Cryo.
Tier D characters on Genshin Impact
Lisa – Support – Electro
Lisa is clearly not one of the most interesting Supports in Genshin Impact, but she can prove herself if you use her kit correctly.
Traveler
When interacting with the statues of the Seven, the Traveler has the ability to change elements. However, none of his forms rival the effectiveness of Genshin’s best characters.
Amber – Support – Pyro
Amber can pretty much hold her own during combat, but it is especially in exploration that she proves to be useful, notably thanks to her passive.
